Kuureki.
Student & indie builder
I build products at the intersection of consumer entertainment culture and systems engineering. Megami, a Discord economy bot with full relationship mechanics — ownership, trading, marriage, and a community drama feed. Seasonly, a fantasy league platform for seasonal entertainment drafts — users predict their top picks and score against real performance data. Brume, a Rust realtime gateway that competes with Pusher and Ably but is entirely self-hostable and DB-agnostic. I care about products that are honest, well-crafted, and solve problems that actually exist.
What I'm about.
The thinking behind the projects and how I approach building.
Domain depth first
I study the domain before touching code. The quality gap between most software and what practitioners actually need is almost always a knowledge problem, not a technical one.
Privacy by design
I think carefully about what data should and should not leave a user's machine — not as a compliance checkbox, but as an architectural constraint from the start.
Lean infrastructure
Tight budgets force better decisions. I build with the smallest footprint that meets the requirement, and treat every unnecessary dependency as a liability.
Ship, then refine
A working version in front of real users is worth more than a perfect architecture in a design doc. I move fast on the first version and let actual use reveal what matters.
Working principles
- —Understand the domain before writing a line of code.
- —Privacy is a feature, not a compliance checkbox.
- —Ship a working version before optimising the architecture.
- —Find the gap in existing tools — build replacements, not clones.
- —Treat every unnecessary dependency as a liability.
Things I've built.
Community-driven Discord economy bot with ownership, trading, and relationship mechanics. Real-ESRGAN image pipeline for high-quality card visuals.
Realtime WebSocket gateway built in Rust. Typed pub/sub channels, presence tracking, and Postgres change streams — as a single deployable binary. Flat-rate pricing, no per-connection billing.
Premium seasonal fantasy league platform. Draft your predicted top shows each season, compete in private or public leagues, scored against real AniList data. Flat-rate pricing, no premium features locked behind paywalls.

Let's talk.
If you have an idea, want to collaborate, or just want to talk about anime culture, gacha economies, fantasy sports, or distributed systems — reach out. I'm always interested in good conversations.
